Lovely tutorial Lindsay. I’m gradually learning the finer points of Illustrator, and have taken quite a few notes from this lesson. The turkey is very cute, too!

    Many thanks.

Awesome work Lindsay, keep up the great work. I am loving this tutorial, thank you so much! Wish you could have been the one to teach us Illustrator ;)

  3. Very cool. I know Photoshop very well, and wonder if it might be worth my time to pick up AI as well… Which do you use more for Web layout and Flash? Or is it just a matter of what you’re working on?

@ Justin Plants – Thanks for your comment. To answer your question, the best approach to web design is to have knowledge in both. I can’t think of a time when I have just used one or the other when designing a site – it’s always been a combination effort.

Having said that, however, if I had to pick one for a straight-forward HTML/CSS site, I’d go with Photoshop. When it comes to Flash, however, knowing Illustrator is going to really come in handy because you can create your complex vectors in Illustrator and can then import them into Flash.

    Hope this helps!
